Getting Server’s Serial Number from command line – RedHat/CentOS

Today i will tell you how to get Server’s Serial Number using dmidecode.

Open terminal and type the following:

[root@web ~]#/usr/sbin/dmidecode | egrep -i “serial|product”

output example:
